QUESTIONS
Frequently Asked Questions
What is UNIC?
It is a dosing tool for hair color. It measures correctors and mixtones with precision, no scale and no ruler, so the ratio in one batch matches the next. Dosing stops depending on guesswork and starts following the Rule of 11.
What is The Doser?
It is the tone dosing tool. It is used to neutralize unwanted tones, direct the tone the appointment calls for and intensify what is already in the base, always in the right amount and with nothing left over in the bowl.
What is the difference between UNIC and The Doser?
UNIC is built to create the color that is out of stock, measuring correctors and mixtones with the Rule of 11. The Doser is built for tone: neutralizing, directing or intensifying. They are different steps in the same formulation, and a lot of people use both.
What is the Rule of 11?
It is the math that tells you how much corrector goes into the mix. If the appointment calls for color 7.3, medium golden blonde, you use a 60g tube of base 7.0 with corrector 0.33, the gold one. Eleven minus seven is four: that is 4 grams of corrector. UNIC measures those exact 4 grams and the included stick brings it into the mix.
Do I need a scale or a ruler?
No. The measurement is built into the tool itself, which is the whole reason it exists.
Does it work with any dye, corrector and developer?
Yes. The tool measures quantity, it does not formulate. It works with any line you already use in the salon.
Can any professional on the team use it?
Yes, as long as they know what the tool is for. The result still depends on the hair diagnosis and the technical knowledge of whoever formulates: the tool guarantees the measurement, not the diagnosis.
What is the difference between the Essential, Professional and Salon kits?
It is the number of units of the same tool. The Essential kit brings one, the Professional two and the Salon three. The bigger the kit, the bigger the discount per unit.
What is in the Specialist Kit?
One UNIC and one The Doser, each with its own applicator stick. It is the starting point for anyone who wants both methods at the station from day one, for less than buying the two kits separately.
Which kit makes sense for my salon?
One unit covers one professional. From two professionals or two stations on, the kit with more units avoids the wait for the tool to free up and keeps the same dosing standard in every hand.
